Mount
Proficiency in riding a mount allows a character to control a mount in combat and perform advanced riding maneuvers.
Basic Mount Control (No Proficiency Required): A character can ride a controlled mount without proficiency.
Proficiency Benefits: If proficient, the character can add their proficiency bonus to Animal Handling checks related to controlling the mount and may attempt advanced maneuvers (e.g., combat riding, jumping obstacles, or avoiding danger).
Special Cases: Exotic mounts (griffons, pegasi, dragons) may require special training or a specific feature, such as the Find Steed spell for paladins.
