Critical Hits
A critical hit represents an exceptionally well-placed strike, dealing severe damage to the target.
- You roll all of the attack's damage dice
2xand add them together. - Add any relevant modifiers to the total.
For example, if you score a critical hit with a longsword (1d8) and have a Strength modifier of
+3, you roll 2d8 and add3to the total damage.
What can cause a critical hit?
- Rolling a
natural 20on anattack roll. - Hitting a paralyzed or unconscious target.
- Hitting a creature affected by the hold person spell, or other spells with this effect.
- Specific feats, traits, monster attacks or other effects.
